With the aim of keeping the environment green, a collective tree planting activity was held beside the Kyaikkaungbaya Road near Thanlyin Bridge in Thanlyin Township of Yangon Region at 6:30 am on 17 June.
Deputy Director General of Yangon Region Development Committee U Soe Win, Chairman of Thanlyin District Administration Council U Aung Thaik Win and members, U Zaw Min Htaik, Deputy Administrator of Thanlyin District and officials, Chairman of Thanlyin Township Administration Body U Soe Tint and members, executive officer of the Township Development Committee U Aung Kyaw Soe and departmental officials and staff officer of the Township Forest Department U Tint Naing attended the event and jointly planted 220 Mahawgani saplings.
Saplings will be reportedly grown at the designated areas in Thanlyin Township during the rainy season.—Than Win(Thanlyin)
