With the aim of keeping the environment green and temperature, a collective tree planting activity, organized by the District Forest Department, was conducted in the compound of No. 1 Basic Education High School in Kalay District of Sagaing Region on June 4.
At the event, Chairman of the District Administration Body U Kyaw Soe Tint delivered an opening speech. After that Chairman of the District Administration Body U Kyaw Soe Tint and members handed over saplings to officials.
Next, a total of 300 people including Chairman of the District Administration Body U Kyaw Soe Tint and members, Chairman of the Township Administration Body and members, the District and Township level officials, members of social organizations, teachers and students jointly grew 500 saplings including 100 teak, 100 pyinkadoe, 100 pakauk, 100 Gantkaw, and 100 Tama saplings.—U Kaw Hein
