THE Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Danu Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South), conducted a field inspection on the morning of 1 June to observe the completion of a water pipeline installation project implemented in Htaminbaung Village, Kyaukpon Village-tract, Ywangan Township, to ensure year-round access to sufficient clean drinking water for rural residents.
The 3,800-foot-long water pipeline installation project was implemented with Union-approved funding of K22.31 million through cooperation between engineering staff from the Township Department of Rural Development and village residents. The project has now been completed in full.
Upon completion, 159 households with a population of 789 people in Htaminbaung Village will be able to access and use clean drinking water more easily throughout the year. — Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
