Construction of Namtpang Creek Bridge near completion

A new bridge over the Namtpang Creek on the Mongnaung-Mongshu Road in Mongshu Township in Shan State is under construction by Special Bridge Construction Group-12 under the Ministry of Construction.

Construction of the new bridge began on 1 November 2018 and is currently about 85 percent completed. The project is slated for completion by the end of August this year, said U San Myint Aung, an in-charge of the construction project.

An estimated cost of the project including an approach is Ks. 3.3 billion and the new facility will be of reinforced concrete structure and will be 130 meters in length, and 8.8 meters in width. It will have a 3 ft. long pedestrian walkway on each side and can withstand up to 75 tons of load.

Once completed, local people nearby the bridge the bridge would be able to use the facility in all seasons with greater ease.—Sein Hlaing (IPRD)
