Construction work of concrete road in Hlaingbwe Township completed 60%

Officials from the District Department of Rural Development looked into the progress of concrete paving work of road in Nanhtha Ohn Village in Hlaingbwe Township of Kayin State this morning.

 

During the inspection tour, staff officer of the District Department of Rural Development U Win Zaw, staff officer of the Township DRD U Saw Kyaw Naing Tun and staff met with members of village development committee and instructed to meet the construction deadlines.

 

The construction work of concrete road which is 700 ft. in length, 14 ft. in width and six inches in volume has been implemented with Ks. 27.5 million including 14.00 million of DRD’s funds and Ks. 13.5 million contributed by local people since the first week of May this year and now, all the projects have been completed by 60 percent, according to an official from the District Department of Rural Development.

 

Upon completion, the road will benefit 1711 people from 275 households and bring socio-economic development to local people in the village.—Nilar Htway(DRD)
