AS a gesture of hailing the Myan­mar Women’s Day, which falls on 3 July 2026, under the leadership of the Myanmar Women’s Com­mittee, the Myanmar Wom­en’s Affairs Federation (MWAF) staged the Pearl Jubilee Myanmar women’s costume show and enter­tainment at the Myanmar International Convention Centre I (MICC I) in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday after­noon.

 

The ceremony was attended by MWAF Hon­orary Patron Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, who is the wife of the President, together with MWAF Honorary Patron Daw San San Aye, the wife of the Vice-President 1, and MWAF Honorary Patron Vice-President 2 Nan Ni Ni Aye, wives of speakers of the Pyithu and Amyo­tha Hluttaws, the wife of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, the wife of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, the wife of the Deputy Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw and guests.

 

At the ceremony, songs honouring Myan­mar Women’s Day were presented, and costumes and attire created by re­nowned designers were shown. Moreover, the song titled “Perpetual Peace” and a one-act play titled “Ka-kyo” were staged.

 

Artistes performed songs and entertainments while theatrical perform­er San Yay Moe presented theatrical dances.

 

Honorary Patron Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the wife of the President, present­ed honorary bouquets to KBZ Group Patron well-wisher Daw Nang Leng Kham; MWAF Sec­retary Daw Myat Myat Oo to film artistes; wife of the Vice-President 1 MWAF Honorary Patron Daw San San Aye to theatri­cal and musical artistes, MWAF Honorary Patron Vice-President 2 Nan Ni Ni Aye to Forever Group and John Lwin, Union Minis­ter for Women’s Affairs Dr Thet Thet Zin, patrons of MWAF, the president and the secretary to designers and well-wishers, respec­tively.
