Couple dies after dump truck plunges into ravine PyinOoLwin Twsp

Two people were killed after a dump truck plunged into a gorge in PyinOoLwin Township, Mandalay Region, according to the Ministry of Home Affars.
    

The fatal accident occurred near milepost 19/3 on the PyinOoLwin-Mandalay Road at about 8 p.m. on 11 July. A dump truck driven by a man named Ko Kyaw Thu bound for Mandalay from PyinOoLwin plummeted into a ravine and the accident is attributed due to the faculty braking system of the truck. Local firefighters rushed to the scene of accident and carried out the rescue operation with the use of one medium firefighting truck, one heavy towing & rescue vehicle and three fire engines.
    

The driver and his wife died on the spot and their corpses were transferred to a public hospital for autopsy. Action has been taken against the driver by the local police.
