THE Court-Martial established in accordance with the Defence Services Act and the Defence Services Rules to try the Gutapyin incident conducted the trial at the local Regiment in Buthidaung beginning on 26 November, and continued the examination of witnesses in accordance with the procedure at trial.
To date, the trial of Court-Martial has been conducted five times, and military personnel witnesses and civilian witnesses for prosecution submitted by the officer for prosecution against the accused personnel was examined. Remaining witnesses for prosecution and witnesses for defence submitted by the officer for defence will be examined in accordance with the procedure at trial.
A total of 264 local men and women attended and observed the five times of such trial of Court-Martial, according to Tatmadaw True News Information Team.—MNA
