A ceremony to provide crop compensation to farmers for damaged crops due to lack of rain in Budalin Township, Sagaing Region was held at a meeting hall of Township Management Committee Office this morning.
At the ceremony, MP U Myint Han Tun of Pyithu Hluttaw, MP U Aung Kyaw of Regional Hluttaw gave remarks. Next, Chairman of Township Management Committee U Kyaw Moe Lwin and an official from the Township Department of Agriculture clarified the purpose of the provision.
Then, the officials presented crop compensation to the farmers for damaged crops at a rate of K 10,000 per acre. Crop compensation was provided to a total of 15549 acres of monsoon paddy fields in 24 village-tracts in Budalin Township.
