Dagon beat Magwe 2-0 in U-19 Myanmar National League

TWO goals scored by Kyaw Wunna and Phoe Chit helped Dagon FC defeat the Magwe FC in their Week 19 match of the U-19 Myanmar National League, held yesterday at the Salin Stadium in Yangon.

Both teams were in attack mode right from the start. The skills and football tactics used by the teams were impressive, with Magwe showing much improvement compared to previous matches.

The Dagon FC got their opening goal at 25 minutes, with a header from Kyaw Wunna Tun, off an assist from a teammate, passing the keeper from the right and landing directly into the net. After Dagon’s goal, Magwe changed their tactic, using a mix of midfield and attack.

The first half finished with Dagon leading by a goal. In the second half, Magwe put more speed into their midfield attack in an effort to score the equalizer.

But, it was Dagon who scored again, with a surprise long kick from Phoe Chit, almost from the midfield, taking the ball over the Magwe keeper at 67 minutes. After the second goal, Dagon stiffened their defence line to block Magwe attempts. In the later minutes, both teams missed chances to score, and the match ended 2-0 in favour of Dagon FC. —
