An event to furnish cash and kind to disaster victims from Thittaw Village, Pwintbyu Township in Magway Region whose houses became relocated due to bank erosion of the Mone Creek was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department on 6 August.
At the ceremony, Township Administrator U Win Shwe clarified the purpose of presenting cash assistance and relief items to the disaster victims and elaborated on disaster preventive measures. Next, an official from the Department of Disaster Management provided Ks. 100,000 each and Ks. 8,400 each for purchasing rice totaling Ks. 216,800 to disaster victims from two households.—Ye Win Naing (NyaungU)
