Disaster victims in Danubyu Township get relief supplies

The natural disaster victims from two villages who became relocated due to riverbank erosion on 1 August were furnished with relief items in Shwebntan Village, Maubin Township in Ayeyawady Region.

Employees from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement presented Ks. 1,400,000 for purchasing construction materials and Ks. 88,200 for buying rice totaling Ks. 1,488,200 to disaster victims on 5 August.

The provisions were handed over to the disaster victims in presence of the village administrator, village elders and local authorities.—Aung Thu Hein (Danabyu)
