The district management committee chairman cup men’s football tourney was opened at Myoma sports ground in Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State yesterday.
The participating football teams and cheering groups took oath and saluted the chairman of the district management committee. Next, Chairman of the district management committee U Than Htut delivered an opening address and the cheering teams performed entertainment to the audiences.
In the opening match of the event, concerned department-2 beat fire services squad 4-0. A total of 11 participating teams are playing in the competition that is being held till 2 December in a round-robin format.—Phyo Wai Lin (IPRD)
