Namhsan, 24 October
The Department of Health under the Ministry of Health and Sports conducted a mass immunization campaign in conjunction with an awareness campaign at a public hospital in Namhsan Township, Palaung Self-Administered Zone yesterday morning.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Leading Body of Palaung Self-Administered Zone U Kyaw Win and an official from the DoH clarified the purpose of mass vaccination. The department will inject children and pregnant women will with vaccination against various diseases such as polio, measles and rubella free of charge beginning 25 October.
The employees from the department also disseminate knowledge about heath and don’t and do’s at rural healthcare centers on a monthly basis.
