Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Commu­nications General Mya Tun Oo attended a reception at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Yangon yester­day to mark the 10th anniversa­ry of Nepal’s Constitution and National Day. The event began with national anthems of My­anmar and Nepal, followed by traditional Nepali dances.

 

Nepal’s Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Harishchandra Ghimire delivered a welcome address. The Deputy Prime Minister and the Ambassador then cut a cake to celebrate the anniversary. The event was em­bodied with a group photo and dinner, with attendees includ­ing U Soe Thein, Chief Minister of Yangon Region, U Lwin Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, U Bo Htay, Yangon City Development Committee Chair­man Mayor, diplomats and offi­cials. — MNA/TS
