ON 5 November, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communica­tions General Mya Tun Oo and officials visited airports and ports in Kawthoung, Taninthayi Region.

 

He inspected Dawei, My­eik, Bokpyin, and Kawthoung airports. The director-general of the Department of Civil Avi­ation discussed ongoing airport operations, development pro­jects, and potential expansions for cargo flights. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of safety, cleanli­ness, and high-class service at airports, urging strict meas­ures for security and collabora­tion with relevant departments.

 

The General met General Administration Department employees and other staff in Kawthoung, delivering a speech.

 

In the afternoon, the Gen­eral visited Kawthoung Port. The managing director of the Myanma Port Authority briefed them on the operations and income status of various wharves. The General ensured the smooth flow of goods and inspected the MCL 4 vessel for illegal items. — MNA/TS
