STATE Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo, Deputy Minister U Aung Kyaw Tun and officials visited the emergency temporary protection worksite, including dredging of sandbank and proper flow of water at the Ooyin Bridge on Sinthay Creek in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday. They also discussed fulfilling the needs of the area.
The Union Minister and his team then inspected works to straighten the waterway for flood reduction of Nawin Creek along the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway at milepost 245/7, as well as sand dredging activities and the construction of retaining walls. They also observed the construction of retaining walls and the placement of concrete fins along Sinthay Creek to prevent erosion near Intha Village in Zeyathiri Township. The Union Minister instructed the relevant officials to adhere to the annual work plan, ensuring construction is completed in time, to the specified quality, and with proper attention to safety standards. — MNA/TKO
