Drinking water donated to villages facing water scarcity

Nyaung-U 12 July

Officials from Nyaung-U Township Fire Services Department went to Ayeywa village facing water scarcity in Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region yesterday.

The officials donated 1600 gallons of drinking water to a total of 938 people from 230 households in the village. Local people are depending on rainwater to be available drinking water because water from a tube well in the village is salty.

Therefore, the officials arranged to distribute drinking water to the village facing water scarcity, according to an official from Bagan Fire Services Department.
