Khamti, 7 January
Drugs were seized at Nansipun region, Shwepyitha village-tract in Khamti township, Sagaing Region yesterday evening.
Police from Khamti Myoma Police Station led by Police Sub-inspector Thura Tun and members of Civil Anti-Drug Squad led by U Ye Mon Kyaw searched the house of Daw Moe (a) Daw Moe Moe Hlaing of Latha Extension Ward, Shwepyitha village-tract 21 soapcases each containing 10 garms of while podwer believed to be heroin, totalling 210 garms worth K 2.5 million.
Upon interroagtion, it was learnt that the drugs were sent to Daw Moe (a) Daw Moe Moe Hlaing by Maung Myint and Aung Lwin of Htichaing township who were on the run.
Action is being taken against the three according to law by Khamti MyomaPolice Station.—Sa Nay Maung
