Local authorities confiscated 770 stimulant tablets from a passenger at a bus station in the Town of Kyonpyaw, Ayeyawady Region yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, Police Major Tin Oo and Police Inspector Thein Aung from Pathein Anti-Drug Squad and Police Sub Inspector July Thein and Police corporal Myint Htwe from Kyonpyaw Myoma Police Station together with witnesses searched a passenger bus which arrived from Yangon at Kantharya bus station in the town of Kyonpyaw and seized 770 stimulant tablets and a mobile phone from a passenger, identified as Ye Min Htun who live in Pauktawwa Ward, Insein, Yangon.
Authorities filed charges against him under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Nay Won Shein, Kyunpyaw
