Drugs, weapons seized in house raid

An anti-drug squad seized heroin, weapons and Thai currency in a house raid in Monghsat Township, Shan State, said the Ministry of Home Affairs.


Based on an anonymous tip off, members of the anti-drug team raided the house of a suspected drug trafficker in Punarko Village, Monghsat Township in Shan State at about 12 noon on 6 June. They found 4.95 kilograms of heroin, 10.5 kilograms of ketamine, one 12 volt gun, one magazine, four bullets, Baht 200,000, and one mobile phone in the house.


The suspicious drug smuggler identified as Arr Sae (alias) Arr Sue, 43, was detained for questioning over possession of the drugs by the local police.
