Kangyidaunt, 15 September
The Fire Services Department organized a natural disaster preparedness drill in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event at the basic education high school (Daka) in Kangyidaung Township, Ayeyawady Region on 14 September.
At the event, an official from the FSD shared knowledge about natural disasters such as earthquake, landslides and mudslides that used to happen in monsoon season and preventative measures. Next, the natural disaster drill was conducted with the aim of rescuing people when natural disaster occurs in the region.
The headmistress, teachers, students and volunteers from the FSD were involved in the earthquake drill.—Nan Htike (KGD)
