A ceremony to launch a new office of the Environmental Conservation Department under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation took place at the new office in Dekkhinathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on 22 December.
Firstly, Permanent Secretary of the ministry U Min Min Oo, Director-General of the Forest Department Dr. Nyi Nyi Kyaw, Managing Director of the Myanmar Timber Enterprise U Saw John Shwe Ba and Director-General of the Environmental Conservation Department cut a ceremonial ribbon to open the new office and sprinkled scented water on its stone inscription.
Next, the permanent secretary and party planted shady trees in the compound of the new office.—Zaw Min Lwin (IPRD)
