The township Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and the Livelihoods and Food Security Fund jointly provided social pension to elderly people above 85 years old in Momauk Township, Kachin State yesterday.
Officials from the township Department of Social Welfare and the Livelihoods and Food Security Fund disbursed social pension to elderly people in the township amid the outbreak of COVID-19 on a door-to-door basis.
Under this financial aid program, 198 senior citizens in the township received K 30000 each amid the outbreak of COVID-19.
Also present on the occasion were the township Administrator U Khaing Min Ko, the Amyotha Hluttaw Representative Dr. Khun Win Thaung, Daw Khin Myo Kywe from the district Department of Social Welfare and departmental officials.
