Pruso 21 January
A 69-year old woman has died in a fire in Hoya Village, Pruso Township in Kayah State, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
The fire broke out at a house of woman identified as Daw Francesca at about 2 p.m. on 19 January. The fire which is believed to have started from ember in the kitchen consumed a one-storey wooden house. In addition, the house owner was burnt to death in the incident.
Her corpse was sent to a public hospital in Pruso for medical examination and an investigation into the case is ongoing by the local police.—MOHA
