Mogaung, 7 March
A fire broke out in Yonehaung Ward in Natkyigon Village, Mogaung Township, Kachin State yesterday night and destroyed a house, according to the local fire brigade.
Fire was thought to have started from a lighted candle left in altar in the house of Daw Than Than Htay,47, in the village.
An elderly woman, identified as Daw Hla Htay was injured after a fire broke out. Officials sent her to nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The authorities pressed charged against Daw Than Than Htay for her negligence.—Than Lwin Oo, IPRD
