THE completion ceremony for the installation of a large multi-display system at the Emergency Operations Centre (Yangon) was held at the Yangon Region office of the Disaster Management Department on Wednesday under the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation Quick Impact Project.
The event was attended by Yangon Region Hluttaw Speaker U Htay Aung, Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thant Zaw Lwin, Indian Ambassador Mr Abhay Thakur, the Yangon Region Hluttaw Deputy Speaker and regional ministers.
During the ceremony, the deputy minister and the Indian ambassador jointly inaugurated the large multi-display system and delivered commemorative remarks. The deputy minister also presented a certificate of appreciation to the Indian Ambassador in recognition of the successful completion of the project. — MNA/KZL
