Phapon, 25 October
In commemoration of National Day which falls on November 21, painting and essay competitions were held at the office of Information and Public Relations Department in the town of Phapon, Kayin State this morning.
The competitions were jointly organized by the township IPRD and Education Department.
Firstly, an official from the township IPRD clarified the purpose of the competitions. Altogether 60 students from Phapon Basic Education Department including 30 students in painting competition and 30 students in essay completion competed in the competitions.
Awards ceremony will be held on 31 October, it is learnt.
