Expired medicines, banned cosmetics and foodstuffs were burnt by a combined team at a rubbish tip in Saemai village in the town of Kawthoung in Myanmar’s southernmost region of Taninthayi.
The destroyed medicines, cosmetics and foodstuffs, unfit for human consumption, were seized in a surprise inspection of shops in the markets and schools by a combined team comprised of staff from Consumer Affairs Department, Food and Drugs Administration Department and policemen.
