Fierce campaigning in UK ahead of elections

Political parties in Britain are campaigning fiercely ahead of the general election on Thursday.

Brexit is one of the most important issues facing voters.

Attention is focused on whether the ruling Conservative Party will able to win a majority in parliament.

The Tories insist that the UK should leave the European Union by the end of next month.

The Labour Party is campaigning on the promise to improve the nation's health service. The party says, if it were to come into power, it would reveal a budget plan in February as part of efforts to deliver on that promise.

Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn gave a speech in the west country, calling on voters to support his party.

The latest opinion polls show that 43 percent of respondents support the Tories, while 33 percent back Labour.
