Fingerlings released into lakes in Demoso Tsp.

With the aim of promoting fish production and preventing fish depletion, Fisheries Department is undertaking to release fingerlings into natural lakes, creeks and rivers across the nation. This morning, Kayah State Fisheries Department held a ceremony to release fingerlings into lakes in Demoso Township.


Officials from Kayah State Fisheries Department released 80,000 fish species of different kinds into lakes in Kwinengan, Namsanpho, Dawdaga and Padawdu lakes in Demoso Township. Releasing fingerlings into lakes in the township will benefit to increase fish resources and to ensure fish consumption for local people.
