Moenyo 10 November
A ceremony to add fingerlings into natural lake of Myitmakha River near Moethitsar village in Moenyo Township, Tharawady District, Bago Region was held on November 10.
At the ceremony Chairman of Township Administration Council and officials from Township Fisheries Department and departmental personnel released 150,000 fish species of different kinds into the river.
With the aims of increasing fish production and ensuring fish consumption, the Department of Fisheries is undertaking the release of fingerlings into natural lakes, creeks, dams and rivers across the nation.
