Htigyaing 8 August
A fire broke out at about 11:00 pm yesterday and destroyed a house in Intin Village in Htigyaing Tsp, Sagaing Region.
The fire was believed to have started from overheated wires installed in the house.
Firefighters from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to put out the fire in collaboration with local Policemen and villagers using one fire engine and two water tankers. The fire was brought under control at 12:10 pm and totally extinguished at 12:45. The fire totally destroyed a house, a granary and a tractor.
Properties worth about K 5.6 million were damaged in the fire. Authorities filed a case against the owner of the house for his negligence.—Ye Lin Tun, IPRD
