No casualty was reported in a shop fire in the town of Kyaukme in northern Shan state at 7;20 pm yesterday.
The fire broke out in the upper floor of “Shwe Lian” noddle shop at the corner of Aung San road and Shwe Pe Oo road in ward 3 of Kyaukme town.
Shortly after receiving the information, a total of 40 fire fighters rushed to the scene to fight the fire, using four fire engines. The fire fighters totally put the fire out within 15 minutes. The fire resulted in an estimated loss of K 0.8 million.
The cause of the fire was attributed to damaged electrical wires attached to the fans and voltage regulator in the bed room.—Kyaukme district IPRD
