Fire breaks out in Ngahpe Tsp

Magwe, 24 June

 

A fire broke out due to overheated wires in a house in Sinchidaing village in Ngahpe Township, Minbu district, Magwe region at about 3 pm yesterday. 

 

The fire was believed to have started from overheated wires linking a solar panel placed on the roof of cow shed with a battery in the house of U Myint Oo. 

 

The township administrator U San Tun and 15 firefighters rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with 20 auxiliary fire fighters and villagers using three fire engines. The fire was brought under control at 3:50 pm and totally extinguished at 4:15 pm.

 

The fire destroyed three houses, causing a loss of K one million. No casualty was reported in the fire. A total of 12 fire victims are taking refuge in the houses of their relatives. The authorities pressed charged against U Myint Soe, it is learnt.—Than Naing Oo (Ngahpe)
