A fire broke in Kyaungsu Village in Yegyi Township, Pathein District, Ayeyawady Region at about 11:30 am yesterday.
The fire which was thought to have started from an ember left in the house of U Kyin Hlaing and spread to the whole house.
Firefighters led by U Soe Naing from the township Fire Services Department rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with villagers using fire engine. The fire was totally extinguished at 12:00 pm.
The authorities pressed charged against U Kyin Hlaing for his negligence, it is learnt.—Aung Thu Han, IPRD
