Myitkyina, 20 December
A fire broke out in Rampu Ward in the town of Myitkyina of Kachin State at about 1:30 pm on December 19, according the Township Fire Services Department.
Fire was believed to have started from a house and spread to nearby houses and completely destroyed four houses. But no casualties were reported in the incident.
Firemen from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with locals and the blaze was successfully extinguished. The house owner has been charged with negligence over a fire.—District IPRD
