Fire torches 13 houses in Aungmyaythazan Township

Approximately 13 houses were consumed by the fire in a house in Nyaungkwe Ward, Aungmyaythazan Township, Mandalay Region, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The fire broke out at about 10:45 a.m. on 10 March when the house owner identified as U Phoe Htay, 34, and his wife went to work. The fire started from an overheated invertor when an eight-year old kid named Nyein Chan Zaw enjoyed the television while his parents were working outside.

The fire torched 13 homes and ceased 30 minutes later. The house owner is being questioned over fire negligence by the local police.—MOHA
