Officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement furnished the fire victims with relief items on February 1.
A fire broke out in a cowshed in the compound of a man named U Shwe Wah Tun from Eintaingpon Village on January 29. The fire is believed to have started from an overheated motorcycle battery and engulfed a nearby house.
Accompanied by village officials and staff from the General Administration Department, employees from the DDM provided cash and kind to three fire victims on a home-to-home basis.
