A ceremony to open a basic first aid training course was held at the Township project office in the town of Laihka, Loilem District, Shan State (South) this morning with an opening speech by the Township Administrator U Than Naing.
Afterwards, vice chairman of the township Red Cross Supervisory Committee U Sai San Lin delivered a speech and an official from Shan State Red Cross Society clarified the purpose of the training course.
The three-day training course is being attended by 20 trainees from the township, it is learnt.—Kay Thi, IPRD
