Flood victims in Taninthayi Township furnished with relief supplies

Local policemen led by the Head of district police force Police Lt-Col Kyaw Myo Myint met flood victims in Taninthayi Township and presented relief items to them on 11 August.

They went to a temporary rescue camp set up inside the town hall in Taninthayi Township where they provided disaster victims with relief supplies such as rice, cooking oil, instant noodle, drinking water, iodine salt and medicine. Next, they proceeded to a monastery where a temporary relief camp is being opened. They presented relief items to flood victims and encouraged them. They then rushed to a monastery to meet with flood victims taking shelter at a temporary rescue camp in its compound.

They furnished relief items to flood victims and gave words of encouragement to them. The humanitarian assistance donated to the flood victims in Taninthayi Township was worth more than Ks. 1.7 million.—Myint Oo
