Three primary schools in Kwinchaung Village-tract, Ngaputaw Township in Ayeyawady Region have been closed temporarily since 5 August due to flooding.
Among the closed schools are three primary schools in Hseeinsu, Chingon and Kwinchaung Villages. Local people in Ngaputaw Township suffered from flash floods following severe rains in bad weather since 3 August.
Residents in three flooded villages worry that the situation may worsen if heavy rains continue in the area.—Hla Min Htut (IPRD)
