Foodstuffs being sold in shops and main market in the town of Kanma in Magway region were inspected by officials using a vehicle equipped with a laboratory yesterday afternoon.
The inspection was conducted by a combined team made up of officials from Food and Drug Administration Department, Public Health Department and the Township Development Department.
The team took samples of foodstuffs such as different kinds of snacks, cold drinks, fish paste, and checked them with the use of a mobile laboratory whether they were fit for human consumption.
