Gangaw, 23 September
An invitational football contest was organized by the village youth development committee to celebrate the centenary of founding of the village at the sports ground in Taung Khinyan Village, Gangaw Township, Magway Region on 22 September.
At the ceremony, Assistant Director of the Sports and Physical Education Department U Zaw Win Ko gave an opening speech and an official from the township sports and physical education committee presented balls to the members of the event organizing committee.
The football competition is being participated by nine teams. In addition, a magazine marking 100th anniversary of establishment of the village will be published and an invitation is sent to some authors to make their contributions.
