Four injured as truck rams into rows of shops

A 23-year-old man injured four people when he rammed a truck into rows of shops on Boyon road in Myoma ward, Nattalin, tharyarwady District, Bago region yesterday morning, leaving one motorbike, one bicycle and four roadside shops damaged.

 

Immediately after receiving the accident report, police members led by police Captain Aung Kyaw Kyaw from Myoma police station rushed to the scene.

 

In order to unload packages of snacks, U Than Aung, 56, a native of North Okkalapa, Yangon, stopped his truck in front of Daw Myint Than’s snack shop, with Sai Htet Lin, 20 and Myo Swe Aung, 23, on board the car. 

 

After a while, Myo Swe Aung got on the car and started to move it but he lost control, hitting U Ohn Thaw, 67, who was pushing a bicycle on the road.

 

Then, the truck hit rows of roadside shops, injuring Ma Zin Mar Hlaing, who was buying snacks in front of Ko Thet Tin’s shop, Tun Tun Min and Aung Ko Thet. The injured were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Action is being taken against Myo Swe Aung by Myoma police station for his reckless driving.— 058
