The eye patients will be offered free eye care services, the 13rd time of its kind at Sitagu Ayudana Hospital in Kalay Township, Sagaing Region from 3 to 6 October this year.
An eye specialist team led by Dr. Mya Aung, a retired professor and Dr. Mi Mi Khin from Sitagu Ayudana Hospital (Sagaing) will provide medical checkups for 4 patients and perform eye surgeries for patients from not Magway Region but also Chin State free of charge regardless of race and religion. Patients can enlist their names to receive medical treatment starting on 25 September, according to a source from the information team of the Sitagu Ayudana Hospital.
Under the aegis of the Sitagu Sayadaw Ashin Nanissara, 12,315 patients have been provided with medical check-while 2,464 eye patients have been performed surgeries. The Sitagu Ayudana Hospital (Kalay) was established on 28 April 2009. The 40-bedded facility was inaugurated on 29 December 2009.—Chindwin Thar
