Fundraising concert for Mocha victims concludes successfully

The fundraising concert for Mocha victims has been held since 2 June, and yesterday, on the final day, a large crowd enjoyed the concert.

 

Among the audience were Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Commander of Yangon Command Brig-Gen Win Myint Khine, regional ministers, patrons and chairmen of the MMPO, the Myanmar Music Association and the Myanmar Theatrical Association.

 

The concert was opened with the performance of the Myanmar traditional orchestra and modern melody. The Myanmar Theatrical Association performed the maiden dance along with the Rakhine traditional drum’s play. Artistes presented songs.

 

Afterwards, film artistes made donations to storm victims, and other artists accepted cash contributions made by donors.

 

Next, artistes from the Myanmar Music Association, the Myanmar Comedians’ Association, and the Myanmar Theatrical Association, showed off their best performances.

 

Then, various singers performed the opera programme, the great melody programme, and the theatrical melody programme. Later, the last theatrical drama programme was presented by theatrical dramatic artists.

 

The fundraising concert for Mocha victims was hosted from 2 to 4 June.—MNA/CT
