German coach appointed Myanmar U-15 men squad Head Coach

The Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) has signed a two-year contract with Torsten Frank, German football coach for Myanmar U-15 men’s squad.

Aged 58, Mr. Torsten Frank was the former head coach of Bhutanese national team and served as the head coach of the youth football teams in Germany, Nepal and Yemen. Former Myanmar U-15 men football squad’s Japanese head coach Koga will take charge as Assistant Coach of the team. Myanmar U-15 men’s football team is making necessary preparations to take part in some ASEAN and Asia level competitions.

The team will participate in the AFF U-15 Boys Championship to be hosted in Chonburi, Thailand from 27 July to 9 August. Myanmar is pooled in the Group-A together with Indonesia, Vietnam, East Timor, Singapore and the Philippines while the Group-B is consisted of host Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei and Australia.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
