Govt. officials provide relief supplies to flood victims in Katha

A group of local officials made a field trip to flooded villages in the upper area of the Ayeywady River in Katha Township, Sagaing Region to provide flood victims with relief items on 20 July.
    

 

The water level of Ayeyawady River in Katha Township has exceeded its danger mark and reached 1088 centimeters. The officials from the Department of Disaster Management and the General Administration Department furnished 80 flood victims from 17 households who denied taking refuge to temporary rescue camps with relief supplies.
    

 

Speaker of the regional parliament U Than, regional lawmaker U Nyi Nyi Tun, Director of the Department of Disaster Management U William Friend and concerned officials also met the flood victims and encouraged them.—Naing Lin Htet (IPRD)
