DOMESTIC tour guide training course, which is basically designed on responsibilities and ethics of a tour guide, has been planned to open in July, said the Domestic Pilgrimage and Tour Operator Association (DPTOA).
As the tourism industry has recovered, the role of disciplined and qualified tour guides has become important, so DPTOA has planned to organize the tour guide course for those who wish to have self-development and improve their work performance.
The course includes domestic and international tourism, cultural and pilgrimage tourism, ecotourism and community-based tourism (CBT) and guide ethics and responsibilities.
The training course will be based at the Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture training centre, Yathar Condo, beginning from 9 am to noon on 6 July, and the duration is three weeks. For more details about the training course, enquiries can be made to the DPTOA office located at the corner of Merchant Road and Sandaku Road, and through the following numbers: 09 267620551, 09 777459075, and 09 5155654. — MT/ZS
